For anyone that is intersted... As a result of my having to replace the dangerously rotted ski pylon cross member, and having to jump through hoops to get it right, I have taken the time to measure the new part and did a drawing with the measurements on it. If you find yourself in a situation where you need the new part and the old one is too far gone to accurately measure (as mine was), I'll be more than happy to share the drawing with you and tell you how we fabricated the part. I know that it fits my '83 19 Skier, and I think that it will probably fit most early year MasterCrafts as I don't see any real difference in the hull design. |

That's great. I could really use it. Please email it to me. That would be VERY helpful. Tom |

Looking at the same problem. Pics would definitely help in getting a new one fabricated. Thanks. |

I wouldn't recommend replacing cable with automotive parts. Marine cable is tin'd copper to prevent corrision. It sounds like you know exactly what you need. Go out to http://genuinedealz.com/ and they will make you up a set of custom marine cables for a great price. Very high quality, very good service.

You're in luck-after more than four years of neglecting my MC (I blew the engine in '05 and bought a new Moomba) I started working on it last night-and started looking at this forum today. I don't happen to have the drawing with me at work, but I'll send it out as soon as possible.
